Mayor of Kokand Maruf Usmanov supervised the improvement work that is being carried out at the Big Muslim Cemetery. The khokim discussed the progress of the work with the contractors, the responsible persons received instructions on the quality of the work.
Today, suras from the Koran are applied to the inside of the ayvan of funeral ceremonies. The facing finishing of the upper cornice part of the outer wall of the cemetery begins. Work is also underway in the cemeteries of Goziyoglik and Tahia. The proper maintenance of the Orthodox and Jewish cemeteries is under the constant control of the administration.
