Thanks to the sports complex, built on the basis of an abandoned building in the military unit on Alisher Navoi Street, hundreds of young citizens living in this area have the opportunity to play sports on an ongoing basis.
Deputy Mayor Yakhokhon Rasulov, who took part in the solemn event organized on the occasion of the opening of the sports complex, noted that this project is a vivid example of the implementation in practice of the President’s decree “On measures for the widespread introduction of a healthy lifestyle and the further development of mass sports”.
More than 300 youth representatives will participate in the boxing, artistic gymnastics, fencing and Greco-Roman wrestling sections at the sports complex. On the sports ground, conditions have been created for outdoor sports for citizens living nearby.
At the opening ceremony, the young participants were given gifts, books and sports equipment.
