As part of the spirituality festival, which is held under the slogan “Let’s live freely and happily in the new Uzbekistan”, maqom evenings were held in Kokand.
The event, organized in the Furkat Park, was solemnly opened by Kokand Mayor Maruf Usmanov and cordially greeted the participants. He noted the great attention paid by the head of state to the development of the national art of poppy seeds, which is an integral part of the cultural heritage of our people.
The concert, organized in honor of the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Uzbekistan, was performed by the “Youth ensemble of new Uzbekistan” consisting of students and teachers of the Fergana regional branch of the Institute of Culture and Arts of Uzbekistan.
People’s Artist of Uzbekistan Munojat Yulchieva and Honored Artist of Uzbekistan Salohiddin Azizboev also took part in the concert. The concert was attended by thousands of residents and guests of the city of Kokand.
