The national conference “Actual tasks of Uzbek literary criticism: problems and decisions” was organised in the honour of 95th anniversary of academician Aziz Kayumov and 90th anniversary of professor Laziz Kayumov by the Kokand city hall in the partnership with the regional writers union and Kokand pedagogical institute. Kokand city mayor Maruf Usmanov also took part in the conference.
In the opening ceremony city mayor noted the contribution in the national science made by kokandian scientists.
In the artistic part of the meeting poems of Charkhiy and Mukimiy were proclaimed and national songs, music and spectacles were performed.
